A detailed introduction to the linear rail of industrial robot:
1. Concept: The linear rail is also called the seventh axis of the robot, also known as the robot track, which is used to expand the working radius of the robot. It is mainly used in robot automatic welding, handling, casting, machining and other fields. It has the characteristics of high repeatability accuracy, fast walking speed and stable operation.
2. Classification: The linear rail is not only fixed on the ground to move, but also able to move on the ceiling. We also call it gantry walking. This form of walking organization can cover the scale of operations on a larger scale.
The structure includes single-axis linear rail, two-axis linear rail, three-axis walking gantry, and multi-axis walking gantry.
3. Structural composition: The structure of the linear rail is mainly composed of steel structure, linear guide rail, gear, rack, servo motor, reducer, automatic refueling pump, drag chain, zero point and limit switch and other parts.
4. Considerations for planning linear rail:
1) Accounting of payload and speed
a. First of all, the load of the entire part should be calculated;
b. According to the requirements of the production cycle, we can calculate the required moving speed;
2) Select the type of motor and reducer
a. When selecting the motor, pay attention to the motor torque f, inertia j, power w;
b. The reducer is to reduce the output speed n and output torque T of the servo motor. It is connected to the motor shaft and output, and is connected with the gear organization. Select the appropriate reduction ratio i according to the needs.

3) Select the type of gear, rack, linear guide
a. The gear and rack can select helical or spur teeth, helical gears have stronger transmission ability, less noise and smooth rolling than spur gears. The manufacturing cost of spur gears and helical gears is appropriate, and the spur gears are driven, and no axial force will occur;
b. The gear rack modulus and tooth shape should be the same, and the indexing circle diameter of the gear D = number of teeth Z * module M = module M/cosB pressure angle;
c. Confirm the width of the linear rail, generally the larger the width, the greater the load received, and select the guide rail according to the parameters of each brand of guide rail.
d. The length of the slide rail is selected, and it is best to select the type according to the standard length of each manufacturer to avoid the second processing and increase the cost.
4) Selection of drag chains
Drag chains are divided into plastic drag chains, steel and aluminum drag chains, bridge fully enclosed drag chains, bridge inner cover drag chains, etc.
The load-bearing capacity of steel and aluminum drag chains is relatively large, and it is suitable for the situation that there are more pipelines; The enclosed energy chain can seal and protect the built-in cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, water pipes, etc. Regardless of the type of energy chain, each section can be opened for easy installation and maintenance. Low noise, wear-resistant, high-speed movement. Note: Flexible cables are selected by means of cable routing in energy chains.
5) Automatic lubrication device
