1. US media focuses on the booming robotics sports in China
Global media attention is focused on the robotics sports boom in China. CNN published an article stating that the growing number of Chinese humanoid robot companies is sparking a robotics sports craze. By testing technologies in sports such as football, boxing, and marathons, Chinese companies are showcasing the capabilities of humanoid robots and exploring real-world applications. In the future, humanoid robots will no longer be just tools for performing tasks; they can be exercise partners who accompany you on walks and runs, family tutors who can communicate with children, and football players running on the field.
2. AgiBot establishes a new robotics company in Chengdu
Recently, AgiBot established a new robotics company in Chengdu, Jingzhi Chenji (Chengdu) Robotics Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 50 million yuan. Its business scope includes: research and development of intelligent robots, sales of intelligent robots, development of artificial intelligence application software, development of artificial intelligence basic software, and artificial intelligence public data platform. The company is jointly owned by AgiBot's affiliated company, AgiBot (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and others.
3. France launches investigation into Musk's chatbot
France has recently launched an investigation into Grok, a chatbot developed by Elon Musk's AI company xAI, for allegedly generating pornographic content. The investigation focuses on Grok's alleged use by the chatbot to generate illegal pornographic material. Grok, developed by xAI and integrated into Musk's social media platform X, allows X users to directly access the chatbot. Reports indicate that some users on X have used Grok to edit images and videos, with some of the generated content appearing highly realistic. Some users have used it to create fake sexually explicit content featuring real people and disseminated it on X, with hundreds of victims including women and minors.
4. Samsung announces AI OLED Bot concept robot
Samsung will launch an AI OLED Bot robot teaching assistant in 2026: a 13.4-inch movable screen robot that redefines human-computer interaction with the freeform shape of OLED, making classroom information readily accessible. It will debut as a university teaching aid robot, guiding students to the classroom and providing information such as professor profiles.

STEP launched the industry's first industrial embodied intelligent robot, SYNDA R1, featuring autonomous battery swapping and 24/7 continuous operation: Utilizing dual-battery hot-swappable autonomous battery swapping and automatic recharging technology, it breaks through endurance limitations, enabling uninterrupted operation around the clock. Perfectly adapted to the continuous rhythm of industrial production, it adapts to complex industrial environments and ensures safe human-robot collaboration: Equipped with a four-chamber wheeled chassis, 3D LiDAR, and omnidirectional flexible obstacle avoidance, it achieves highly stable and safe movement and all-around protection in complex industrial scenarios, ensuring safe human-robot collaboration.
6. China's industrial robot production increased by 29.8%
China's high-tech manufacturing sector experienced robust growth in the first three quarters, with industrial robot production surging 28.3% and exports increasing by 54.9%. Wind power equipment exports also saw a 23.9% increase. New energy and automation technologies are reshaping the global industrial landscape, with production of intelligent unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), industrial robots, 3D printing equipment, and satellite navigation and positioning receivers growing by 59.9%, 29.8%, 40.5%, and 28.5%, respectively. In the first three quarters, production of green equipment such as wind turbine generators, nuclear power generators, and solar cells increased by 72.4%, 38.9%, and 14%, respectively.

At Dragon TV's 2026 New Year's Eve Gala, AgiBot Expedition A2 will make its debut as a representative of "Shanghai Shining Figures," hosting in three dialects. Robots will participate both on and off stage at Hunan TV's New Year's Eve Gala, with AgiBot Lingxi X2 bringing a robot team performance, including five Lingxi X2s dancing together on stage.
